About

You shouldn’t design too big. You shouldn’t design too small. You should design just right.

—JP Williams

That is what my first art director JP Williams told me. He was taught by Paul Rand. After he told me that, it has become one of my design principles. I didn’t know this British 19th-century fairy tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” then.

After many years in the IT field in Japan, I decided to go back to school in a field I wanted to learn. I graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York, and I ended up moving to Cleveland.
